Men in the UK will be able to buy Viagra over the counter after consulting with a pharmacist and without a prescription for the first time today.
ViagraConnect manufacturer, Pfizer, estimates more than a fifth of men aged over 18 in Britain suffer from erectile dysfunction, but almost half of those over 40 have not sought medical help.
The erectile dysfunction drug will be available in 14,000 stores across Britain and via pharmacy websites.
The tablets will be available exclusively from Boots until 10 April.
Those aged 18 and over will be able to buy the tablets following a conversation with a pharmacist or after filling out an online form. Men can ask to speak to a pharmacist in a private consultation room if preferred.
The pharmacists will determine whether treatment is appropriate for the patient and give advice on erectile dysfunction, usage of the medicine and potential side effects. They will advise men to consult with their doctor no less than six months after buying Viagra so that any potential underlying conditions such as diabetes, high blood pressure, or heart disease can be investigated.
A Boots spokesperson said that the man affected by erectile dysfunction should buy the drug themselves wherever practically possible.
Men with severe heart problems, those at high risk of heart problems, liver failure, kidney failure, strokes or those taking certain other medicines, will still need to be prescribed the drug under the supervision of a doctor.
A four-pack of the tablets will cost £19.99 and an eight-pack £34.99.
Men who buy it will be advised that they can take a 50 mg tablet an hour before having sex, but should not use more than one pill a day.
Viagra is is already available as an NHS prescription free of charge for those eligible not to pay for their prescriptions.
The pharmacist will decide how many packs will be supplied in a transaction.
The Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) announced in November it was to steer men away from buying the tablets from. In 2016 £17m worth of unlicensed and counterfeit Viagra was seized.
Kristie Sourial, Pfizer’s medical manager, said: “It’s important to remember that erectile dysfunction is a medical condition, and that the impact often goes beyond the physical symptoms – it can lead to men feeling anxious, depressed and lacking in confidence.
“Our hope is that the availability of Viagra Connect in pharmacies will encourage men who do nothing about their erectile dysfunction to seek help, and encourage those who are inclined to seek help to do so sooner.”

What is Sildenafil? It is a PDE5 inhibitor, used to treat erectile dysfunction (ED) in men. It works by increasing blood flow to the penis to help men achieve and maintain an erection. It works by preventing the reabsorbed ions in the nerve pathways from being released in the brain, which leads to a increase in blood flow. This process helps to improve erectile function. It works by inhibiting the PDE5 enzymes in the sarc chamber, which are responsible for maintaining a proper balance of reabsorption and excretion of water during sexual activity. This process can be affected by individual health conditions, so it's crucial to consult a healthcare professional for advice regarding a reduced Sildenafil dosage. Sildenafil can have a profound impact on a man's self-esteem and quality of life. By taking this medication, individuals can help improve their sexual performance and potentially improve a person's quality of life.Sildenafil tablets can be taken with or without food. While Viagra is a popular medication used to treat erectile dysfunction, it is important to note that not all men are equal.
Erectile dysfunction (ED) is the inability to achieve or maintain an erection sufficient for satisfactory sexual performance. This condition can be caused by a variety of factors, including psychological, neurological, or hormonal conditions. Erectile dysfunction can affect men of all ages, and it is estimated that 40% of men in their 20s and 30% of men in their 30s suffer from ED.
The common causes of ED are psychological, neurological, or hormonal factors, but they can also be physical. In most cases, ED can be caused by several factors, such as stress, medication, lifestyle, or medical conditions. If you are experiencing ED, you can discuss the causes with a doctor or pharmacist. ED can also be treated with medications, such as sildenafil (Viagra), tadalafil (Cialis), vardenafil (Levitra), or avanafil (Stendra). Sildenafil is a PDE5 inhibitor, which can help relax the blood vessels in the penis. Tadalafil works by relaxing the blood vessels in the penis, which helps to improve blood flow. The Australian Medical Journal has found the prescription drugs are no better than placebo. A survey conducted by Health and Social Care found they are much worse at prescribing medicines than they are prescribing to people living in the same community.
The drug, known as Viagra, is prescribed for the treatment of erectile dysfunction (ED). The drug works by relaxing the muscles that control blood vessels.
According to the report, the drug affects the blood vessels in the penis, and can cause impotence in men. However, the study did not identify how many people got the drug. The researchers found no difference in the effects of the drugs on their ability to get and sustain an erection, and also found that those who had taken the drug had a lower incidence of ED. It could also have been a small effect on the body.
The study did not find any differences in the number of people using the drug, and also found no differences in the amount of prescriptions made by the drug in the community.
A study in the Journal of the British Medical Association found that people who had been prescribed Viagra had an increased incidence of ED. According to the study, the number of prescriptions that people received was greater in the community, and that they were more likely to get ED.
A study published in the American Journal of Medicine found that a study published in the Journal of the American Medical Association found no difference in the number of people who received Viagra in the community. They found a difference in the number of people who received Viagra, but the difference was small.
The study also found that the number of prescriptions that people received was not associated with any differences in the ability to get and maintain an erection, and the number of prescriptions that people received was not associated with any differences in the number of people who got ED. The study also found that people who received the drug were less likely to get ED, but the number of people who received the drug was less than those who received placebo.
